1. The Reference and Its Role
Diamond Bar Residents Directory is a privately operated reference that describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, directories, and archives related to Diamond Bar, California. It does not host government records and is not affiliated with the City of Diamond Bar, Los Angeles County, a court, a library, or another custodian.
2. Lawful Ways to Use It
Use the pages only for lawful, respectful purposes. You may not use the reference or anything found through it to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm anyone
- Locate a person protected by a restraining or protective order
- Commit identity theft, fraud, or another unlawful act
- Make a decision regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act
- Scrape or republish the content at scale
- Disrupt the pages, search boxes, hosting, or security
3. No Consumer Reports
This is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. section 1681 and following. Nothing on the reference, and no result returned by a linked search service, is a consumer report. Information must not be used to judge a person's eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another FCRA-covered purpose.
4. Outside Services and Links
Government portals, library collections, archive catalogs, and third-party search tools maintain their own rules. Diamond Bar Residents Directory does not control their content, availability, charges, security, or data practices. A link is provided for reference and does not create an endorsement.
5. No Promise of Accuracy
The reference is supplied as available and without a promise that its facts, links, fees, coverage dates, or portal instructions are complete, current, or error-free. Confirm a record with the official custodian before relying on it.
6. Liability Limits
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or other damages arising from use of this reference or a linked resource, including an action taken because of a record found through it.
7. Your Responsibility
You agree to defend and hold the operators harmless from a claim, demand, loss, or cost, including reasonable attorney fees, that results from your misuse of the pages or your breach of these terms.
8. Original Material
The original writing, layout, design, logo, and page structure are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a brief attributed passage is welcome. Full-page republication and systematic copying are not permitted without authorization.
9. Updates to These Terms
A new version may be posted when the reference or its rules change. Continued use after the revised text appears means that you accept the updated terms.
10. Restricting Access
The operators may block or limit access for a user who violates these terms, abuses a search service, or interferes with the reference. This may occur without advance notice.
11. California Law
California law governs these terms, without applying its conflict-of-law rules. The California Public Records Act, Government Code sections 7920.000 and following, governs requests to a California agency for identifiable disclosable records; it does not turn this private reference into an agency or require an office to create a new record. California consumer privacy rights are addressed in the California Consumer Privacy Act, Civil Code section 1798.100 and following.
12. If One Part Fails
If a court finds one provision unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect to the extent the law allows.
13. Questions About Use
